Facebook Data Deletion Request

This page is the Data Deletion Instructions URL for the SellerGrid Facebook app (App ID 771753292699930). It explains how to remove SellerGrid from your Facebook account and how to ask us to delete the personal data we received through Facebook Login.

Compatible with

  • Shopify
  • WooCommerce

01 What this covers

When you choose Continue with Facebook (Facebook Login) to create or sign in to a SellerGrid account, Meta shares a limited amount of profile information with our app, subject to the permissions you approve. This normally includes:

  • Your name and profile picture;
  • Your email address, if your Facebook account has one and you grant the email permission;
  • Your Facebook user ID — a numeric identifier that Meta uses for your account;
  • An access token that lets us confirm your identity and keep your account secure.

We use this information only to create and sign in to your SellerGrid account, communicate with you about it, and protect the service. We do not use Facebook profile data for advertising, and we do not sell it. For more detail about our general data practices, read our Privacy Policy.

Removing the app stops future access — but it does not delete data already shared with us. If you want the data we already hold deleted, follow Option 2 as well.

02 Option 1 — Remove SellerGrid from Facebook

Removing SellerGrid from your Facebook account revokes our access token, so we can no longer read your Facebook profile or sign you in with Facebook. You can do this on desktop or in the Facebook mobile app.

On desktop or in a browser

  1. Log in to Facebook and click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  3. In the left-hand menu, click Apps and websites under Your activity. You can also open facebook.com/settings?tab=applications directly.
  4. Under Active apps and websites, find SellerGrid and click Remove.
  5. Review any checkboxes for content the app may have posted to your timeline. Facebook Login does not post on your behalf, so you can normally leave these unticked. Click Remove to confirm.

In the Facebook mobile app

  1. Tap the Menu icon (☰) in the bottom or top navigation, depending on your device.
  2. Open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  3. Scroll to Your activity and tap Apps and websites.
  4. Tap SellerGrid, then tap Remove and confirm.

SellerGrid will disappear from your active apps and websites. If you cannot find SellerGrid in the list, it may already have been removed. You can still email us to delete data that was shared earlier.

03 Option 2 — Email us a deletion request

To have the personal data we received through Facebook Login deleted, email [email protected] with the subject “Facebook Data Deletion Request”. Please include:

  • Your full name as it appears on Facebook;
  • The email address associated with your SellerGrid account, and your Facebook email if it is different;
  • Your Facebook user ID or a link to your Facebook profile (optional, but it helps us find your record faster);
  • Your business or workspace name, if you use SellerGrid for a company.

If you cannot use email, you can reach us through the contact page and mention “Facebook data deletion” in your message.

To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm control of the email address or Facebook account before we delete anything. We will never ask for your Facebook password or your SellerGrid password by email.

05 What we delete and what we keep

Data we delete

  • Your Facebook name, profile picture, and email address received through Facebook Login;
  • Your Facebook user ID and any access tokens issued to SellerGrid;
  • The connection between your Facebook identity and your SellerGrid account;
  • Any profile or contact record created solely from the Facebook data you asked us to delete.

Data we may keep, disconnected from Facebook

We may retain limited business records where the law requires it — for example, tax, GST, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution records. Where deletion applies, we remove Facebook identifiers from those records and keep only what we are legally required to retain. We do not sell personal data.

Deleting Facebook data does not automatically cancel orders, invoices, or other transaction records that SellerGrid is required to keep.

06 If you also want your SellerGrid account closed

Removing the Facebook app, or asking us to delete Facebook data, does not automatically close your SellerGrid account — especially if you also sign in with email or another method. If you want the account itself closed, say so in your deletion email and include the workspace or store name.

We will close the account after settling any outstanding invoices and completing any records we must keep by law. Once closed, you will no longer be able to sign in to that workspace.

07 Data we never receive

SellerGrid’s Facebook integration uses Facebook Login to identify you. We do not request or receive:

  • Your Facebook password;
  • Your friends list or followers;
  • Your timeline posts, photos you have not shared with the app, or private messages;
  • Your payment card or banking details from Facebook;
  • Permission to post, message, or act on your behalf on Facebook.

If you believe SellerGrid holds Facebook data that is not described here, contact us and we will investigate.
